Twelve
Years and still going strong:1994 - 2006 What started as a Youth With A Mission outreach at the Commonwealth Games in 1994, has grown into a YWAM location ready to celebrate its' 12th Birthday! It is inspiring to see how the vision God gave 12 years ago taking on form and substance. Things like Go Fest, the School of Intercessory Prayer and short-term outreaches were envisioned at the beginning, and now are a reality. The Boardriders Discipleship Training School made its' presence known in the boarding culture, raising up young men and women passionately taking their faith in God to the streets (beaches, slopes, and skate parks). This year a new DTS with a different look will continue to raise up leaders with a passion to reach the world. Our First Nations ministryis firmly planted and has become part of the fabric of more than one community. Short-term involvement in the First Nations ministry as well as the Urban Victoria, Skateboarding and Mountain Biking ministries available through our Mission Adventures programme. We continue to look ahead to a time when past dreams continue to come true, and future dreams pull us forward. YWAM - Victoria operates within the fundamentals and principles of YWAM International. |
