There are so many exciting things to tell you about, so where do I start. The first three days I was with some Samoan Missionaries in Chaing Mai. The purpose of us gathering was to pray and seek God for direction on how we can carry out God's plan for "Samoa for Missions Conference" and YWAM "South Pacific Games outreach. It was a very powerful and moving time for us as we had the privilege to pray and sing in our own language. We felt the presence of God in our midst. There were joyful times, celebrations, humility and anticipation for what God has in store for our beloved islands. After three days of meeting and praying together we managed to put together a rough outline of what the conference will look like. For me, it was an honor and privilege to be with my other Samoan warriors that are out there serving God on other continents. It was so encouraging for me.

Pattya city
The rest of my time was with the team at Pattya city. YWAM Bangkok was responsible for setting up our outreach schedule, so I will give you an over view of what kind of activities our team was engaged in. The team was able to assist with different ministries in the city such as: Slum outreach(Kids Ministry), working with prostitutes (Tamar Centre), Crossing Ministry (Street/skateboard), distribute bibles to Chinese people coming through Thailand, community prayer walks and evangelism, working with Light House Church(running their coffee shop)

We witnessed many people's life being touched by the Lord. One particular highlight, we performed a drama called "pearl of the great price" followed by a message by the Pastor, that Sunday there were more foreigner than locals and yet two young Thai woman came to know Jesus. The day before, one of your team members also led another local girl to the Lord. They were hungry for Jesus and we had the opportunity to disciple and pray for them. This was a cool experience for our students. One day we went out into the community to invite people to join us at the coffee shop. So we had many local people came to the coffee shop, this gave us a chance to perform dramas and share testimonies. As we were finishing up our drama "car" the main character was a driver, his friends and Jesus. It is about allowing Jesus to be in control of our lives. In the end the driver crashed his car because he refused to allow Jesus to drive the car ( mean, his life). So just as we finished and I was ready to share a message a huge car accident took place right in front of the church. It was so loud that everybody in the church stood up and ran towards the window to see what happened. We realized what just happened. At that moment I knew it was a reminder to all of us that we do not know what lays ahead of us. The next five minutes anything can happen, the question is are we ready, prepared to meet Jesus. We began to pray for the people involved in the accident and the message was pretty much obvious for me to share that night. This was very interesting that we did our "car skit" ending with a crash and then the accident took place right in front of us. Well, this is just a short update for the outreach, overall God did a tremendous work in all of us especially our DTS students. A few of them have expressed their desire to go back to Thailand and work as a missionary. Our prayer is that they will capture the heart of God for the nation of Thailand and then they will follow through with the call of God in their own lives. For me I was honored and privileged to be a part of such a special outreach. I was blessed beyond my imagination. For so many years I have worked among our First Nations people here in North America and I found so many similarities among the Thai people. And I am grateful for the opportunity to serve God in another nation. Back to Canada, my time away I feel God has reaffirmed to me my own calling among the Indigenous people. Once again thank you for your prayer for my family while I was away and I really appreciated your prayer, love and support for the Va'a family.
God bless
